Please know that the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority.  To begin the year, we will be reviewing all procedures and rules to ensure safety.  We will plan to get active for class each day, so ensure that all students are wearing sneakers and appropriate clothes to participate.  Students will NOT be changing for PE this year, but are encouraged to bring antiperspirant, extra socks, old sneakers, a cinch bag and any clothes to keep them warm for days we go outside.

If we happen to go virtual - Virtual Classes

  • Students should log on to the meet at the start of class and also turn in the Google Meet, by clicking “mark as done”, so we can track attendance.
  • Students should be wearing clothes to participate for PE, which include sneakers, t-shirts, and shorts/pants.
  • Students may be asked to do activities that will be moderate to high intensity, being that they are at home.
  • Students will reflect verbally in a conversation at the end of the class time.

We are here to support you, so you can BALANCE your overall education, school work, friendships, activities, family, exercise time, social media and many other things, all while being flexible during the pandemic. We will encourage RESPECT for self, others and your environment.

We are planning to go outside through the month of November.

  • We will NOT be changing for class this year, so please ensure that you are attending class, wearing sneakers and with a t-shirt & shorts/pants.
  • It is highly recommended that students bring in extra layers of clothing to wear over their clothing to stay warm.  These extra layers of clothing can be anything that adheres to the student handbook.

Let me know if you have any questions.  I would be happy to speak with you :)

     Be physically active at home:

All students should try to be active for 60 minutes per day :

Youth Physical Activity Guidelines

  • Children and adolescents should have 60 minutes (1 hour) or more of physical activity daily.
    • Aerobic: Most of the 60 or more minutes a day should be either moderate- or vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity and should include vigorous-intensity physical activity at least 3 days a week.
    • Muscle-strengthening: As part of their 60 or more minutes of daily physical activity, children and adolescents should include muscle-strengthening physical activity on at least 3 days of the week.
    • Bone-strengthening: As part of their 60 or more minutes of daily physical activity, children and adolescents should include bone-strengthening physical activity on at least 3 days of the week.
